I'm alive!

I was in Cebu so I wasn't able to update. And right now I don't feel like updating because it would take forever and get really boring. I don't know how to be brief and interesting. I don't even know how to be long and interesting either. So I'll just say the trip was great and I took about 200 pics and I'm really sleepy cuz I had 4 hours of sleep last night and have been getting up around 5 or 6 for the past week and a half soooo... yeah.

Do you like our house?

HAH!!! This is what they did to our old house on Lovell Street! What are the pillars for?! It looks like a mini embassy!

La de da

I'm not even going to try to catch up.

Anyway, finals week went well. On Thursday, Danae, Christy, Chris, Danae, Sun Hee, and I went to a Korean restaurant. That was a lot of fun. The food was good -- especially this one spicy dish. And the rice was good too. Hehe.

I packed up and left school around 12:30 on Friday and spend the next two days packing and getting ready. Saturday night I took Susie shopping. Then Sunday night I pulled an all-nighter at Kaitlyn's! It certainly worked. I slept 10 out of the 12 hours on the flight from Detroit to Japan.

Ok, so I got back home and I said all that. Ok, Thursday Pastor Rene and Tita Vangie came over for lunch and so did Joash because he had to teach tae kwon do to the homeschoolers at church. We went to Pancit Ni Peedee to socialize before going over to church. Joash's taekwondo teaching was pretty good, actually, except the kids are so forgetful. Joash is a lazy teacher though -- he barely joined them in the stretches and stuff. Haha. I was holding a big, fat rectangle thing that they use for practicing kicking. Wow, Joash can really kick. I almost got knocked over.

Friday was the youth Bible study. That was a lot of fun. In spite of the typhoon, a lot of people showed up. We played a really fun drawing game where you had to roll the die to draw certain parts of the picture. Hapi slept over Friday night.

Saturday we went to prayer meeting and then I spent the day with Elot. Tita Monina was OD for church lunch, so we went along to get food at SMB. Then we stopped by the restaurant and then I went to Elot's house for a bit. Twas fun... and rainy.

Sunday was good. Dad preached in the morning and then Tito Alex in the evening. The youth Bible study has improved in that the youth actually talk a lot and there is a lot more interaction. After the BS, I went to Elot's for a while... then after church, we went to PD's (although he was gone for most of the time and it was just the Arcibals, the three Seveses kids and me). Tita Leila was commenting on how many kids she had -- 11 of us! Hehe. (Hey, after you have 7, 4 more must not make much of a difference.)

Back in the Philippines!

Well, I'm back... haha, funny thing happened when I got back. I took my boxes to Andy's room and then the doorbell rang and it was Joash and Hapi. I was downstairs talking to them for an hour and a half when Dad made me carry my backpack to my room where Elot, Ate Tin, Ate Elaine, Jobel, and Eunice, all wearing pig masks, jumped out at me! They had been waiting there for an hour and a half for me to come up because Joash and Hapi ruined it. Hahaha! Then I went downstairs and the Sevs, and Keng were there. Keng had actually been standing outside the gate with the mosquitos for the longest time. Twas funny. Then the Arcibal girls, Eunice, and Jobel stayed overnight -- puyat over! Eunice and I talked until 4am. So therefore, I got about 2 and a half hours of sleep last night.

Anyway, so much for updating about the past few weeks. I shall do it eventually, but this is what I got done while I was in Japan:

=========
So I’m in the Nagoya airport now, about 3 hours from home! I did manage to pull the all-nighter with Kait, so I was basically up from 7am Sunday morning to 12:30 in the afternoon on Monday. (Except for an hour and a half nap on Sunday afternoon.) I slept a tiny bit on the way to Detroit. The girl next to me was an exchange student from Argentina. I think I overdid the whole sleep-when-Manila-is-sleeping thing. I totally missed dinner, mid-flight-snack, and the "green tea" call. Out of the 12 hour flight, I slept 10 hours. Haha. I did manage to wake up for the last 10 minutes of "The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe." So now I’m in the airport waiting to board in about 30 mins. The wireless thing here barely works. The one that says "Free-public-wireless" has strong signal, but nothing comes through.
The only good thing about breakfast was the fruit. The rest of it wasn’t the nicest... I think cafeteria food is better than airplane food. =)
Oh yes, this belongs on the tattle blog, but I’ll put it here: ANDY MISSED A TURN ON THE WAY TO THE AIRPORT!!! HAHAHAHA!!! Amazing! Wonders never cease as long as you never cease to wonder. He was talking to Kait and all of a sudden she said, "Didn’t you want to be in that other lane?" Tsk tsk.
The kid next to me is playing a computer game. Hah, Sunday night, I was talking to Joash and he was in an internet cafĂ© reading over someone’s shoulder. The girl was chatting with some Indian guy. I told Joash that the girl could be reading over his shoulder as he was telling us all about it. Of course he didn’t care.
I’m not really sure where I stopped updating. I put pictures up of Catherine’s birthday... I think that was the last. I got lost going to her house, but what else is new? Then there was more homework===========
and that's where it ended.

Leavin' on a Jet Plane

Once upon a time, there were 2 girls. Their names were Kaitlyn and Becky. They were friends. Awww. They lived in a big house with a big yard and a big rabbit. They were big idiots who pulled big all-nighters. Kaitlyn was big-ly smart and Becky was big-ly dumb. They complete each other. But all the same, since they were big girls in kindergarten, they've been big friends. Now they're big girls in college. Anyway, Becky is a big girl who can fly on an airplane all by herself! She doesn't even have her mommy holding her hand or her daddy figuring out what gate is coming next. This could pose a big problem. Kaitlyn is a big girl too. She went on a big trip once herself, all by herself, and she didn't even get big-ly lost.

Big bunny trail: Kaitlyn has big eyes. She can read this from the top of her big bunkbed.

Anyway, Kaitlyn has to check her big grades. I shall return.

She has no big grades.

Anyway, Becky and Kaitlyn had a big party consisting of the two of them at her house so that Becky would be able to sleep on the big trip when she flies the big plane. Kaitlyn is feeling very sleepy, but Becky is wide awake because she's simply amazing. Kaitlyn is big-ly tired.

We are going to go to the big Donut place and then the big grocery store to get Splenda.

I shall be back in a big while. Stay tuned for more big news.

KANSAS -- What's the pig deal?!

Kaitlyn is taking a big bath. So I'm still here to talk and talk with big ideas.

Anyway.... Enough of this big stuff. It's driving me crazy. Can you tell I haven't slept? I need to take my contacts out. I think I'll wear my glasses on the plane.

Hmm... so anyway, at 3am, we watched "Shadowlands" which is a movie about C.S. Lewis and his wife. According to Kaitlyn, most of it is pretty accurate until the end. The end is absolutely pathetic. It's such an agnostic ending. The movie concentrated on Lewis' thing on suffering... and in the end, the closing line was "He chose suffering." So basically, it was a depressing, almost hopeless ending -- something that I don't think C. S. Lewis meant at all. He did have a thing about suffering, but he wasn't that bad. It wasn't an amazing movie that I'd necessarily watch again, but it was interesting. His Narnia stories are much more interesting.

Kait isn't even in the shower yet, so I shall begin to type about my life. Let me see... where to start... I need my organizer so I know what happened. In fact, I shall do that on the plane, not now cuz I want it to be organized. Ang galing... Hah.

P.S. Andrea was baptized yesterday. =)
